Remke liquidtight connectors and conduit fittings reduce corrosion in harsh industrail environments.

Liquidtight Connectors Seal Conduit To Prevent Moisture Ingress

Remke Liqua-Seal Liquidtight Connectors and conduit fittings help reduce corrosion on critical connections.Liquidtight Connectors are designed to connect both rigid and flexible metal conduit. Remke Liqua-Seal® brand Liquid tight conduit fittings are specifically designed to thread onto metal conduit to produce an IP65/IP66 rated seal.  Remke produces liquidtight connectors in sizes ranging from 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch all the way to 4 inches, and are specifically engineered to be compatible with SEALTITE® flexible wiring conduit.

Remke carries a full lineup of NPT thread liquidtight connectors in the following materials:

All liquidtight conduit connectors from Remke are part of the Tuff-Seal™ Technology line of cable connectors and cord grips.

Stainless Steel Liquidtight Connectors

Remke liquidtight connectors and conduit fittings in stainless steel are perfectly suited for harsh demanding industrial applications.Remke’s LMSS and LLSS series stainless steel liquidtight connectors create a heavy-duty seal designed for use in highly corrosive or humid environments.  IP68 and NEMA 4X rated, these flexible conduit connectors will withstand just about anything you can throw at them.  Chemicals, oil, dirt, dust, frequent washdowns, salt air and other corrosive materials are no match for these stainless conduit fittings. They are designed to connect liquidtight conduit into a knockout or an NPT fitting (no metric sizes are available at this time).  LMSS and LLSS series come with an optional 316 stainless steel locknut, which can be added to the assembly by adding a “-LNSS” suffix to the part number.

Type 303 stainless steel makes up the body and ferrule, and features and nylon insulated throat to better absorb shocks. If specified, Type 316 stainless steel can be produced, but is not a regularly stocked item.  The unique design of this liquid tight connector gives it superior strain relief and protects from accidental pull out due to the inner threaded sleeve.  The optional BUNA-N or Viton® O-Ring can be specified.  Both O-Ring options provide an additional measure of liquidtight sealing capabilities.

LMSS and LLSS series liquid tight cord grips come with an optional 316 stainless steel locknut, which can be added to the assembly by adding a “-LNSS” suffix to the part number.  Check out the entire selection of stainless steel liquidtight connectors and conduit fittings here.

Industry Applications for Stainless Steel Liquidtight Conduit Connectors

Because stainless steel liquidtight connectors do not rust, are impervious to corrosion and resist pitting, they are ideal for these industries:

  • Food & Beverage processing
  • Petrochemical operations
  • Paper & Pulp mills
  • Wastewater treatment plants
  • Offshore oil rigs & platforms
  • Chemical Processing

In these industries, the most common liquid tight conduit installation includes connecting heavy-duty electrical motors, generators, air conditioning Remke Liqua-Seal Liquidtight Connectors and conduit fittings exploded vertical view.units, outdoor lighting and transformers.  Beyond that portable equipment that requires hard line electrical connections can benefit from the robust qualities of stainless steel as well as the inherent strain relief properties of the liquidtight connectors.

Zinc-Plated Liquidtight Connectors and Conduit Fittings Provide an Economical Alternative

Remke zinc liquidtight connectors conduit fittings selection of LDM, LMM, LMA, LML shown.Remke’s LM & LD Series of liquidtight conduit fittings present an economical alternative to stainless steel liquidtight connectors.  For applications that do not require the robust qualities of stainless steel connectors.  Constructed from either:

These liquidtight flex conduit connectors are suitable for most applications that don’t require harsh chemical corrosion resistance.   They have been tested and exceed UL requirements and are IP65 and NEMA4X rated to withstand dust and particulates as well as protect against low-pressure jets (6.3 mm) of directed water from any angle.  The design also features an optional nylon insulated throat that significantly reduces vibration strain.

Remke’s long ferrule design prevents pull-out and tight bend conduit pop-out.  This is not considered enough to keep Seal Tight® conduit secure in the event of more than moderate strain on the flexible conduit.  To address instances where a liquidtight conduit connector may experience vibrations or possible brushes with other equipment or other moving objects, you may want to consider adding wire mesh strain relief to your Liquidtight connectors.  Wire mesh strain relief acts like a Chinese finger trap in that when the flexible conduit is properly installed within the wire mesh it transfers the energy from the pull on the cable/wire to the wire mesh, leaving the connection undisturbed.

Remke also includes locknuts with all conduit fittings.  The LMM, LML, LMA series come standard with a zinc-plated steel locknut.  The LDM and LDL series come standard with a zinc die-cast locknut.  Zinc liquidtight conduit fittings are available in sizes 3/8 in., 1/2 in., 3/4 in., 1 in., 1-1/4 in., 1-1/2 in., 2 in., 2-1/2 in., 3 in., 3-1/2 in. and 4 inch (see catalog for specific sizes in a particular metal).  All pieces are stocked locally and shipped from our US based warehouse.
