Remke Meets and Exceeds Many Set CSA Standards

CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Regulations for electrical components are some of the original standards developed. Since 1927, they have been keeping people safer with improved equipment and consumer products.

The 700+ standards address everything from every day light bulbs to sophisticated industrial and laboratory equipment, including wire mesh grips, molded connectors and cordsets.

Their primary goal is to mitigate shock and fire hazards of electrical products in Canada. Most notably, electrical connectors must be properly designed, meet connectivity requirements and be safe to be considered compliant.

Through the years the CSA Regulations have extended to cover most of North America because of a streamlined UL and CSA certifications process. The two are relatively interchangeable across the globe, helping manufacturers everywhere gain easier access to North American markets.

The section of the CSA Requirements for Wiring Products is most applicable to Remke’s electrical connectors. It covers Cable Management, Wiring Devices, Electrical Connectors and more. This section of the CSA Code also includes General CSA Requirements, Commercial and Consumer Products and Industrial Products. These links provide the scope of each requirement and ability to purchase the full regulation directly from the CSA.

Remke strives for full compliance with CSA regulations. Our team conducts regular reviews of our products and notes each product in our online store.
